Gord Cowan
As the founder of The GPS Consulting Group, Gord has worked in the Insurance industry for over 29 years – 22 of those with GPS. His extensive consulting expertise has a special emphasis on comprehensive and integrated management solutions designed to maximize the productivity of an employer’s workforce while maintaining an emphasis on maximizing the employee’s well being. With a well-deserved reputation for integrity, Gord applies proactive solutions in the areas of healthcare claims management, absence and disability management, as well as workplace wellness/lifestyle programs.
The basis of Gord’s involvement with any company he is aligned with is that all decisions are grounded and measured on integrated, objective data that identify what the true issues are and then — utilizing that same data — make decisions on how to engage best practices to ultimately better manage positive outcomes.
Bruce Tomkins
Bruce joined GPS Consulting Group following a diverse career in the financial services industry. He was most recently Executive Vice President of BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services where he was responsible for creating the Pension division, Group Insurance division, assumed responsibility for the Canadian and U.S. Insurance Brokerage divisions and The Trust Company of Bank of Montreal Corporate Trust division. His responsibilities included developing business plans for all divisions, setting and managing budgets, developing strategy, monitoring the execution of that strategy and managing all staff issues.
Bruce now joins GPS Consulting as a Partner to assist in customer relationship management, business development and expansion. Bruce is also a Partner in a North American Company specializing in educational materials to achieve a healthy body weight called Move It Lose It Live Healthy.
