These workshops are designed with one purpose in mind—problem-solving. This is why we call them boot camps…because participants don’t just talk about diversity… they put knowledge to work. Participants receive leading edge industry information and they apply tools provided to diversity challenges in their own environments. (We ask you to bring your challenge to the Boot Camp). The Boot Camps are intense, interactive and created to elicit multiple possible solutions to diversity challenges.
Watch for our new fall Boot Camp on inclusive recruitment and retention strategies and also a repeat of the spring Boot Camps.

Boot Camp Workshop Modules:
Know, Feel, Do: Steps to Build Cultural Competence and Inclusion
Module 1 looks at key concepts about diversity-such as its presence, dynamics and intersections-in your environment. You examine 4 factors that can make a difference in maximizing the benefits of diversity. You then apply 3 strategies to different scenarios from your own experience and that of others. You take home a template you can apply to different situations.
In this Module you will learn:
- What Canada’s changing demographics mean for the way you interact in the workplace
- How individual and organizational culture creates inclusion or exclusion
- 3 strategies for building cultural competence in your organization
Bridges, Zones and Cultural Intelligence: 3 Tools to Sharpen Your Cultural Competence Skills
This Module is an interactive, one-of-a-kind experience for those comfortable with diversity. We zero in on managing and interacting with people of different ethno-racial and ethno-cultural backgrounds. It’s ‘fun with purpose’ as you practice using 3 proprietary games that will help take your diversity skills to the next level!
You will learn:
- How to reduce tension and build empathy
- How to navigate difficult conversations
- How to know what to do when you don’t know what to do in interactions
